Philosophy

Language and Life in the UK is committed to ensuring learning is useful, informative and fun. One-to-one tuition is preferred, because every student has different needs. This allows for a truly tailored approach within the context of a structured programme. Students like choice and are therefore offered a wide range of materials to select from or become immersed in. 

The programme will suit anyone who has already achieved Intermediate level or above in English. It includes more than 100 one-hour online lessons, covering the full span of British history and many aspects of modern society. Each one is carefully designed to provide relevant knowledge and language development. Lessons may be bought individually or in packages.

Students are taught by a qualified and experienced teacher of English as a foreign language, using materials created by and only available through Language and Life in the UK. All lessons are online and fully interactive. This enables prompt feedback and attention to specific development needs. Overall, it is a richly rewarding learning experience.
